Inside Out/Dreamers Hits the Road
Immigration
Posted October 2017
This week, Emerson Collective is participating in the kickoff of the nationwide tour of Inside Out/ Dreamers, providing communities with a unique platform of art as an expression of solidarity with Dreamers.
Inside Out/ Dreamers is a nationwide initiative created by award-winning artist JR to build a portrait of America that reflects our true diversity. Inside Out/Dreamers will travel the country, taking individual portraits that give visual expression to the overwhelming American support for Dreamers.
From California to Florida, we'll host pop-up community events with Dreamers, activists, elected officials, and local leaders. We'll underscore that with the repeal of DACA, tens of thousands of Dreamers are already losing their status and are at risk of deportation. Hundreds of thousands more will begin to lose their status early next year unless Congress acts now to pass the bipartisan Dream Act.
Join us to share your support—and your voice—for Dreamers. Learn more about the project, and check the calendar for upcoming events near you.
Be sure to follow along with @insideoutproject on Instagram and #IOPDreamers.
